This is a wargame set in the anime universe of the Legend of the Galactic Heroes.This game simulates the Japanese most popular space opera novel 'The Galactic Heroes Legend', 'Ginga Eiyu Densetsu'.In the distant future, Human conflicts between two major powers have divided the Galactic World into 'Reich' and 'Free Planets'.Reich is under the rule of a dangerous emperor and corrupted aristocrats, while the people of the Free Planets have lost the ideals of their foundation and are under corrupted populism also.So both camps have no ability to break the enemy or to settle the war which has dragged on for many hundreds of years.But, the times have produced two geniuses of war into the same period. One is 'Reinhelt von Roengram', the incomparable artist of a war in the Galaxy.The other is 'Yan Wenlee', called 'Yan the Miracle', the magician of a war.Their appearance will change the era that they live in.In this game, players command Reich or Free Planets.This game contains three types of space combat ship units (BB,CL,CV) and various units which appeared in the original story.The game uses a complete original system.This game combines three types of starships, 'Battle Ship', 'Galaxy Cruiser', and 'Galaxy Fighter'.Players organize Fleets under the command of unique admirals by combining characteristics of Starships.Each counter in the game is an Admiral in the anime and is rated by his fighting skills.You use resource points to create or buy ships and put them under your admirals sort of like Hitler's war.This game came out in Old Games Journal #40. - BoardGameGeek
